Overview
The Elvira was built in 1938 to transport guests over the Swiss lakes. Since 1998 she has been travelling in the Netherlands. In 2016 the Elvira was restored and brought back into service for cruises on the wider waters of Amsterdam, IJmeer, Amstel, Vecht and Zaan.
Because of its large windows, the Elvira is very suitable for cruising around the Eastern Port Area, along the IJoevers and harbours of Amsterdam. But she also regularly sails on to Forteiland Pampus and the Muiderslot.
The furniture in the salon does not have a fixed arrangement; you determine the layout. For example, more than 30 people can sit on a long block table, and up to 70 people in theatre set-up at presentation or wedding. But making room to dance is also possible! The outside area consists of the foredeck and seats around the wheelhouse; in warm weather conditions, about half of the windows can be lowered in the saloon.
Besides the fully equipped bar, there are several possibilities for catering. Cold and warm snacks, snacks, but also buffets and disused meadows of lunches and dinners.
